Free Comic Book Script - The Wheel of Time by Stephen Sonneveld
Theme: Crom Myth
8 Pages
The Wheel of Time Summary:
While enjoying a moment of peace in a forest with playful pixies, Crom the Barbarian hears a slave scream in pain. He discovers a cruel slave master, Heth, about to execute an injured worker struggling to move a massive sundial base. Outraged, Crom confronts Heth, condemns the institution of slavery, and declares Heth his own slave as poetic justice. After a scathing rebuke on the brutality and arrogance of slavery, Crom forces Heth to release the slaves and leave with only his pride and the burden of finishing the job alone.
Heth tries—and fails—to move the immense stone, succumbing to exhaustion and desperation. As he collapses and cries for help, no one comes. Crom, meanwhile, is far away, once again at peace among the pixies. The tale ends as a dark fable of justice, irony, and the crushing weight of one's own cruelty.
